If you enrol in a Lithuanian university, you have the opportunity to apply for a Lithuanian State Scholarship, which is aimed at students, teachers and researchers.
Depending on the country of citizenship, the student can apply for one of the following scholarships:
• Scholarship for summer language and culture courses;
• Scholarship for short-term study;
• Scholarship for studies within the framework of the "Studies of Lithuania (Baltic region)" program
• Scholarship for research stays;
• Scholarship for master studies.
Scholarship for summer language and cultural courses
To apply for the scholarship, you must submit the following documents:
A copy of your passport or identity card.
A letter from the student's university confirming his status
Transcript with completed subjects for the last 2 semesters
A document certifying achievements in the scientific or artistic field - for scholarships for master's programs
2 letters of recommendation from teachers (written in the last 6 months)
Notarized copies of diplomas of secondary and higher education
All documents must be in English or Lithuanian, or with a notarized translation. Documents must be provided in 2 copies.
The Exchange Training Support Fund offers scholarships for foreign students, teachers and researchers to study the language and culture of Lithuania in summer courses at Lithuanian universities.
The candidate must be a student of a university in one of the following countries: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine.
Undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students receive a scholarship of 570 euros.
Researchers and teachers receive a scholarship of 950 euros.
Scholarship for short-term study and research visits
The scholarship is offered by the Exchange Training Support Fund and is intended for foreign students, teachers and researchers taking courses or studying for research purposes at Lithuanian universities. The scholarship covers the costs of a short study visit.
The applicant must be a student, teacher or researcher at a foreign (non-Lithuanian) university.
Undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students receive a scholarship of 570 euros.
Researchers and teachers receive a scholarship of 950 euros.
Scholarship for undergraduates
The Lithuanian Ministry of Education and Science offers financial support in the form of scholarships to foreign citizens pursuing master's studies at higher educational institutions in the Republic of Lithuania.
This scholarship is available in 2 variants:
• Scholarship and payments to cover education costs (Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine);
• Scholarship only (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, China).
The distribution of the scholarship depends on the nationality of the applicant.

The amount of the scholarship is 10 basic payments per month. The amount of payments to cover the cost of education is equal to the standard cost of education. If tuition exceeds the standard cost, the student is responsible for the difference.
